The Rudolf Gallery
The Rudolf Gallery is situated in the north wing of the Royal Palace at the Seond Courtyard of the Prague Castle. The Gallery, designed during the reign of Rudolf II in the simpler style of the Renaissance was later adapted to resemble the adjoining Spanish Hall with its splendid decorations. Today’s appearance of the halls comes from 1867-1868.
The Rudolf Gallery was built by O. Aostalis according to the designs of A. Valenti and G. Gargioli to accomodate the famous treasury of Rudoph II. Nowadays, great part of the collection is situated in Vienna.
