Annotation

The Giardino fiorito concert will open the gates of an imaginary musical garden, whose architects will be Georg Philipp Telemann and George Frideric Handel. These two friends got along not only on a professional level, but also in their private life – among other things, through gardening. Personal messages, scores and even plant bulbs circulated in their correspondence... Both were renowned for their use of sound painting as well as for their systematic creative exploration of the boundaries and possibilities of instrumental music.

The door to a garden full of bubbling springs, lush grass and intoxicatingly scented roses will be opened by a trio of top instrumentalists and the soprano Anna-Lena Elbert, who will let the musical imagination of the two nature-loving Georges bloom anew.
