In the heat of the July sun, the Summer Festivities of Early Music melted into a Spanish fiesta, full of unbound merrymaking and springy rhythms called the zarambeque. The energetic music of the 17th and 18th century was revived by the Spanish ensemble Armoniosi Concerti led by the guitar, vihuela and theorbo player Juan Carlos Rivera and the soprano María Espada. The renaissance Hvězda Summer Pavillion  – Estrella in Spanish – resounded for the first time in its long history with arias, tonos or instrumental compositions by Santiago de Murzia and Juan Hidalgo, to name just a few.
